Applications for the 2025-26 school year open MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2024
To receive EARLY consideration and February notification, applications must be received by DECEMBER 31, 2024

Admissions Policy
Mission Viejo Christian School partners with families to provide a loving environment where students can build a strong academic foundation, develop their unique God-given talents, and learn to know Jesus in a personal way as they prepare for high school and beyond. With that as our goal, at least one parent must affirm a personal commitment to faith in Christ and the purposes of Christian education.
STEP 1. Create an Account or Log In
NEW families applying to our MVCS K-8 campus:

CURRENT MVCS K-8 families applying for a sibling:

STEP 2. Complete New Student Application
Select the appropriate grade level application for your child, then complete all required fields.
Upload Supplemental Documents listed below into your online application according to your child's grade level.
- Copy of certified birth certificate
- Complete and up-to-date immunization records (click here for immunization requirements)
- Individual and family photo (for ID purposes only)
- Report Cards from current/past two years (grades 1-8)
- Standardized Testing from past two years, if taken (grades 1-8)
- Preschool Progress Report (Kindergarten applicants upload or email as soon as available)
- Kindergarten Readiness Assessment | Parent Permission (Kindergarten applicants)
- Provide email contact for Teacher Reference (form to be completed by teacher within past year)
- Provide email contact for Family Reference (form to be completed by a church leader or MVCS parent who knows family well and is not a relative)
- Student Paragraph "Why I want to attend MVCS" (grades 6-8)
- Upload current or past IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
Submit application with online payment of your non-refundable application fee | $100 Grades 1-8 | $125 Kindergarten (includes Chancy & Bruce assessment).
Save your data in process and return at any time to complete, review, submit, and/or print a copy of your application.
STEP 3. STUDENT ASSESSMENT
Entering Grades 1-8: If needed, a student assessment will be scheduled by our Admissions Director after application is reviewed. For Grades 1-8, the assessment is approximately 45-60 minutes, which includes a section of reading, writing and math.
Entering Kindergarten: If needed, Kindergarten applicants will be requested to take a 30-minute Kindergarten Readiness Assessment at MVC Preschool, on the MVCS campus, or at the Chancy and Bruce location in San Clemente. Contact admissions@mvcschool.org with questions.
STEP 4. FAMILY INTERVIEW
A 30-minute family interview may be scheduled with parents/guardians and student to meet with our Principal and get to know one another.
Acceptance
Parents will receive an official email regarding acceptance following our Admissions Committee review of the applicant's file.
