Online Admissions Process

Mission Viejo Christian School partners with families to provide a loving environment where students can build a strong academic foundation, develop their unique God-given talents, and learn to know Jesus in a personal way as they prepare for high school and beyond. With that as our goal, at least one parent must affirm a personal commitment to faith in Christ and the purposes of Christian education.
STEP 1. Create an Account or Log In
NEW families applying to our MVCS K-8 campus:
Create an account and complete the information required. You will receive a verification email.
CURRENT MVCS families applying for a new student:
Do not create an account, simply go to Application and Log In.

STEP 2. Complete New Student Application
Select the appropriate grade level application for your child, then complete all required fields.
Upload Supplemental Documents listed below into your online application according to your child's grade level.
- Copy of certified birth certificate
- Complete and up-to-date immunization records (click here for immunization requirements)
- Individual and family photo (for ID purposes only)
- Report Cards from past two years (grades 1-8)
- Standardized Testing from past two years, if taken (grades 1-8)
- Preschool Progress Report (Kindergarten applicants)
- Chancy & Bruce Kindergarten Assessment results, if completed (Kindergarten applicants)
- Provide email contact for Teacher Reference (grade 6-8)
Submit application with online payment of your non-refundable $100 application fee by credit/debit card.
Save your data in process and return at any time to complete, review, submit, and/or print a copy of your application.
STEP 3. Student Assessment
A student assessment will be scheduled by our Admissions Director once application is received. During January and February, we offer three group assessment dates for all incoming prospective students Grades 1-8. The assessment is approximately 45-60 minutes for grades 1-3 and 60-90 minutes for grades 4-8, which includes a section of reading, writing and math.

Kindergarten applicants will take the 30-minute Chancy & Bruce Kindergarten Assessment at their current preschool, at MVCS on one of our scheduled test dates in January or February, or at Chancy & Bruce's Huntington Beach location. Click here to schedule a Chancy and Bruce Kindergarten Assessment.
STEP 4. Family Interview
The final step in the application process is a 30-minute family interview where our Elementary or Jr. High Principals meet with the student and parents/guardians to get to know one another.
Parents will receive an official email regarding acceptance following our Admissions Committee review of the applicant's file.
MVCS does not discriminate on the basis of color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies or programs. We do screen applicants on the basis of religious preference, grade level readiness, and student’s potential for success within the MVCS environment.
